TEEN STITCH BY SOFIA

These pieces have been designed by Sofia, who is now twelve years old and getting into the teen "age".

We wanted something modern and nice for teens willing to learn how to stitch. Some of these designs have been stitched on Lugana 28 ct. Teens will have no problems to find the holes in this fabric and will have an easy life while stitching! Patterns can also be embellished with beads and charms, used for a pillow or mounted inside a frame.

These chart packs are suitable for beginners, but can also be a lot of fun for intermediate stitchers or moms!

A Ballerina's Dream is a brand new design, dedicated to classic ballet, and thought to realize a sewing necessaire for the Designing Ladies 2006 project with Judy Odell (www.justathought.net).

Wonderful sewing accessories and special ribbons and threads give a unique style to this necessaire.

A Ballerina's Dream

A Ballerina's Dream has been created as a love tribute to classic ballet, teachers and dancers. Dancers need to sew their ribbons and fix their shoes in a proper way and the necessaire is just for these purposes. There are four ballerinas from famous ballets: Giselle, Petrouska, Firebird and Swan Lake. Point shoes are all over, inside center band, side bands, charms, scissors fob and the holder's card. The pincushion design is based on the music sheet of the Nutcracker Ouverture Miniature by P.I. Tchaikovsky. So there are true musical notes but...... with glass beads!

Hallowitch Sewing Box

The name of this box "Hallowitch" is a combination of the two words, Halloween and Witch, and it is a very amusing word. My daughter Sofia has designed this piece at age eleven. The whole process started when she received the invitation from Judy Odell, our dearest friend in California, USA. I guess not many little girls or teenagers have received the honor to take part to an international Designing Ladies’ project. We do not know what Sofia will do in her future years, but we know that design and colors will always have a special place in her life.
The combination of Italian designer, Italian stitcher, American threads, fabric, ribbons and buttons, gives this piece an international identity which fits very well with the Designing Ladies’ project of Judy.
The use of variegated silk threads, special ribbons and buttons, gives a lovely look to the box, and we are sure that you will enjoy while stitching it.

Chart pack includes designs charts and instructions for main box sections (top, lid band, wall band, bottom), scissors pocket, two doors needlebook, pin roll and ruler.

Finishing Instructions for the assembly of this box and sewing accessories are not included in the chart pack. They can be found in the Designing Ladies’ "Stitcher’s Treasure Box" book by Judy Odell (Just A Thought). The book walks you, step-by-step, through the assembly process using written instructions, pictures, templates and hot tips along the way.
