This sewing set is a collaboration finishing design with my friend Marinella Paoletti, alias Mingiustitch who has designed a similar set, with another stitched design, but the same finishing process. We both used Stitches and Spice threads and fabric and we both enjoyed the lovely creations of Naomi, the owner and artist of Stitches and Spice. We have used a three baskets set from IKEA to create a complete sewing companion with scissors pocket, thread winder pocket, pincushion, needlebook, scissors fob, pinkeep. You will have a lot of fun in stitching this model !!!!

Dedicated to my beloved and unforgettable friend Kris Stott (Norden Crafts), this basket and stitcher’s sewing accessories represent a loving family, house and pets, flowers and trees in an antique sampler style. While we attended the 2009 Nashville show, Kris showed me the lovely baskets of Lantern Moon and we chose together threads and ribbons for a new model she wanted me to design for the basket........

This sewing set has lovely purse with a front and back band closure, embroidered inside and outside, and five needlework accessories. This model is stitched with variegated hand dyed silk threads by The Thread Gatherer. I always desired to be a teacher at The National NeedleArts Association shows and this is the reason why I designed a small set of sewing accessories for a class in Nashville. My goal was to show that finishing can be simple or primitive, but still classy. My original set was formed by a scissor tip "etui" or scissors stand, a needlebook, and a thread keeper etui. This sewing set is composed by three pieces: a huswif like etui (with inside pocket, needle page, and four heart shaped Mother of pearl rings to hold threads), a ruler etui and a hornbook-scissors keeper.
