A beautiful sewing purse, with two secret compartments for sewing tools, stitched with antique sampler motifs, dedicated to my dearest friend Marsha and her husband Kenny. The original 18th Century sewing purse, belonging to my collection of antiques, was reproduced by Judy Odell from Just a Thought. Judy and I have designed our own models and she wrote the finishing instructions. Stitched with The Thread Gatherer silk threads on Basketweave linen from Lakeside Linens.
For this special piece, we commissioned a wonderful turtledove color thread winder of black lipped mother of pearl, available from us as a separate purchase. Brass tools and waxer available from Just a Thought.

This is a special sewing set with a purse, a scissors case and tassel fob, a needle- pins etui, and a pincushion biscornu. It has been stitched with 310 Black DMC stranded cotton floss on hand-dyed linen fabric, and finished with DMC Color Variation 4130 six stranded cotton floss. Lovely pins, buttons, scissors and needle minder are perfect for this easy stitching piece. The step by step finishing information are detailed and easy to follow.

The name of this box "Hallowitch" is a combination of the two words, Halloween and Witch, and it is a very amusing word. My daughter Sofia has designed this piece at age eleven. The whole process started when she received the invitation from Judy Odell, our dearest friend in California, USA. I guess not many little girls or teenagers have received the honor to take part to an international Designing Ladies’ project. We do not know what Sofia will do in her future years, but we know that design and colors will always have a special place in her life.

The designs, as well as the other Isotta’s pieces (Isotta’s Sampler Pillow, Isotta’s Sweet Bag, Isotta’s Biscornu) were created for the International Show of Lace and Embroidery 2007, held in Rimini, Italy, every two years. To honour the town and the show, I studied Rimini’s history and traditions....
